Pathology Test Process Management System

• Easy to operate, native touchscreen user interface with keyboard and mouse operation modes.
• Barcoding and application of printed unique barcode tracking number ensures highly secure tracking, traceability and administration of pathology test samples, requests, results and reports. A unique identification barcode / fileno is used for each test set request, from scanning of original pathology test form through to final verification and issue of results. RFID/EID option is also available in this pathology software.
• Built on advanced SQL Client/Server database architecture allowing you to access information and create reports from any other SQL capable application (MS-Excel, MS-Access etc) using ODBC or Native OLEDB drivers.
• Pathology Tests Database includes: Test Name, Tube/Sample Type, Sample Type, Volume, Units, Marker Type, Comment for Low Result, High Result or Marker present, and Test Cost fields.
• Age Grid Database (pathology test linked) includes: 8 Male age ranges, 8 Female age ranges with individually settable Low and High test result levels (or Markers) for each Age Range and Sex. When tests are completed the test results use this database to flag and highlight paticular test results as abnormal (i.e High, Low or Marker present).
• Test Set Database allows you to combine any number of individual pathology tests into a single named Test Set.
• Includes detailed Physician, Patient and Pathology Databases.
• Full privilege control of users allows individual security setting for each user. Privileges include: Viewing or Editing Databases, Editing Tests and Ranges, Entering, Reviewing, Ammending and Verifying Test Requests and Results.

  EMPIRICA PATHOLOGY SOFTWARE - EXAMPLE PROCESS

Start Emprica Pathology Software and Log In. Note: Only users with appropriate permissions can access the various process screens.

Scan the original test request form - Saves an electronic copy and assigns a unique tracking number.

Prints Barcode labels with unique tracking number for attachment to test samples.
Note: All printed documentation (request forms and results) include the unique tracking number barcode.

Also has quick search feature using the onscreen or standard keyboard.

Test Set selection - Select the test set(s) applicable to the pathology request.
There are 20 different Test Set Screens each with 27 Test Set buttons (i.e. A total of 540 available test sets)

Test Request Screen - Allows Confirmation, Verification, Printing and Recall of all Pathology Test requests.
Pathology Tests can recalled by scanning or entering the unique tracking number or selecting it from the drop down lists.
The operator(s) who originally entered, verified or ammended the pathology test request are recorded and displayed.

Pathology Test Result Screen - Allows Confirmation, Verification, Printing and Recall of Pathology Test results.
Once the results from the laboratory are received they are entered and saved here.
Test results are displayed graphically and as actual numeric values with high and low ranges.
Pathology Tests which are outside the 'normal' range (for the patient age and sex) are highlighted in red with the default, or user entered, comment displayed.
Pathology Test Results can recalled by scanning or entering the unique tracking number or selecting it from the relevant drop down list. At this point the Pathology Test form can be printed to a standard printer or to a PDF document (for electronic transmission).
The operator(s) who originally entered, verified or ammended the pathology test results are recorded and displayed.

Test Age Range and Sex grid Screen - Allows you to enter specific High/Low test result ranges for each individual Pathology Test and each age range and sex combination

Typical Pathology Test Database screen - Allows you to Enter, Edit or View individual tests including default comments which appear on the pathology Test Results form

Pathology Test Set Setup screen - Create and edit user named Test Sets by adding or removing individual tests.
These are the test sets which appear on the Test Set Selection screen buttons (see above)
